Actually when i was doing MBBS in chennai (SRMC) I wanted to be a pediatric cardiac surgeon. but in 1993 when my younger brother was 18 years old he suffered from a type of blood cancer hodgkin’s lymphoma. so he underwent treatment surgery, Chemotherapy & Radiotherapy all under one roof at Adyar cancer Institute he got completely cured and since then I wanted to be a cancer surgeon and also part of a hospital which had the entire treatment under one roof. It’s been an amazing journey with plenty of ups and downs but now after 20 years in surgical practice i feel i have started floating professionally with a consistent stream of patients coming to you by word of mouth.

Each one of us must do whatever gets us into the flow state its just you and the task at hand is nothing else. So for me this is what surgery does it gets me into the how state always. Yes, It is something I always wanted to do and have worked extremely hard at it for the past 23 years.
Surgery is becoming less and less invasive which is fantastic for the patient as you have only 3-4 small incisions after a laparoscopic surgery. for a surgeon it means a different kind of training surgeon need to learn open and laparoscopic surgery.
This was the first center with all modalities of cancer treatment available under one roof. We have treated about 10,000 cancer patients till date we are now moving into multi specialty.
